How are we able to make a Maker Faire?

We love corporate sponsors, but it’s not easy to get them to invest money in some brand new, unproven, very crazy-sounding event like Cincinnati Maker Faire. They really want to see a well-planned event with the venue and date secured, and other details hashed out before signing on. Getting to that point without sponsorship can be difficult, if not impossible.

That’s why we feel so fortunate to have a wonderful organization here in Cincinnati that is helping to fund events like Cincinnati Maker Faire. It’s really due to their ability to recognize a great idea and trust us to make it happen that we were able to get the ball rolling so everyone else can jump onboard. And while we can’t really speak off the cuff about The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation, we would just really like to give them a well-deserved shout out.
